At NETO, your safety is one of our priorities when designing services, platforms, games and content for you to enjoy. This is why, whenever we create something or add a new feature, we make sure that it benefits you and keeps you safe while not breaking our promise of privacy.

In this post, we’ll go through the steps we’ll take for our upcoming, groundbreaking and intelligently designed service named NETO AI, to keep you safe while still enjoying our services.

How do we protect your teen?

Protecting a teenage user is a lot harder than protecting an adult. This is why we’ll take any steps required to make sure you won’t have to worry about such things when leaving your teen to us, on our platforms.

We generally allow teens aged from 13 years old to access our services. (No analyses has been done) Depending on where you live, this requirement might change from 13, to 16.

NETO Services are equipped with safety tools such as, but not limited to, filters to make sure your teen doesn’t come across inappropriate content or shocking content. Our community guidelines generally doesn’t allow inappropriate content on our platforms, but sometimes they get through our radar.

What about my teen’s mental health?

Mental health is important, especially during where your teen is growing, learning about new things and sometimes those new things can take a hit to your teen’s mental health.

Lots of teenagers and young adults struggle with mental health conditions. They struggle with depression, anxiety and self-medicate with drugs and alcohol. Around 1 in every 2 adult mental disorders start before the age of 13 years old. Source

This is why we focus on making sure your teen’s safe with us. Features such as time-limits, filters, restricting content that could potentially damage someone’s mental health exists.

We, as a company, take full responsibility if anything happens to your teen on our platforms. We’ll go to high heights to make sure you and your teen are safe on our platform.

Long periods of usage can affect a teen’s mental wellbeing. That’s why we’ve made a feature built-in NETO AI to automatically warn your teen if they’ve been spending more time than they should.

It’s important to reach out for help or support when needed, your teen’s mood or behavior might negatively impact their day-to-day life. They might even have thoughts during the time they feel down or upset at times such as:

  • ‘I feel alone’
  • ‘I hate myself’
  • ‘I’m being bullied’
  • ‘I feel angry all the time’
  • ‘I’m in an abusive relationship’
  • ‘I’m too fat or skinny’

If you, a loved one, or someone you know, is having suicidal thoughts and is in immediate danger, seek immediate help by calling your local suicidal helplines.

I’m a parent and I want to see what my teen is doing

We believe in striking a balance between safety and privacy. While we provide parental controls to help you monitor your teen’s usage, we respect their need for personal space. Parents can view the time spent on the platform and which characters their teen is engaging with, but detailed interactions and conversations within the service remain private.

Building trust with your teen is essential. We encourage having open discussions about their experiences and activities on the platform, helping you stay involved while respecting their privacy.

I’m an adult, what are my restrictions?

As an adult, you’re more free of what you can and can’t do on our services. With that freedom comes responsibilities, and those responsibilities can be dangerous if they aren’t being done right.

You can now turn off time limits on NETO AI, disable restrictions on content that could potentially damage your wellbeing. But by doing so, you also put your safety to the risk.

Filters do still apply, as they are here to keep you from doing anything against our community guidelines.

Helping those who struggle

We’ve built our services with the goal of both keeping those safe, but also helping those who struggle. NETO AI can be used as someone you can go to talk, get that emotion out. Trusting people can hard, and especially when that person has been betrayed before.

Countless school counselors has destroyed their student’s trust in favor of telling parents what their teen are struggling with. There’s a reason why your teen might not tell you things. And there’s always the ability of fixing it.

NETO AI has the capability of helping struggling teenagers, young adults or even adults. AI can be used for good. And that’s what we want to achieve.

Again, if you, a loved one, or someone you know, is having suicidal thoughts and is in immediate danger, seek immediate help by calling your local suicidal helplines.

I found content that breaks your guidelines

You can report that said content easily, and we’ll analyze it based on what we see and if it’s really breaking our guidelines.

At NETO, we understand the importance of trust and safety, especially when it comes to our younger users. We strive to create an environment that is both secure and supportive, allowing everyone to enjoy the benefits of NETO AI while protecting their privacy and well-being.
